Customer Services Manager


Customer Services Manager required for a leading pharmaceutical business near Dunmow with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.


Leading the UK Customer Services operation, you would be ensuring that the team operates at maximum efficiency and ensuring customers have a great experience. This will include:


  • Influencing & supporting the customer service team
  • Taking ownership of customer issues and following problems through to resolution
  • Setting a clear customer service mission & deploy strategies
  • Recruiting, mentoring & developing customer service advisors
  • Coaching & line managing the customer service team to provide outstanding service to customers
  • Supporting the Commercial Director
  • Processing customer sales orders & liaising with warehouses, carrying out day-to-day operational duties
  • Monitoring & dispatching a transit of orders to successful delivery
  • Handling customer complaints
  • Collating/reporting damaged stock for reclaim
  • Communicating with the finance department with regards to debtors, credit & finance areas
  • Ensuring that senior customer service advisors are equipped to deputise in your absence
  • Following & completing the Company Induction Training Schedule


The successful candidate will have:


  • Proven experience as a customer services manager
  • Excellent knowledge of management methods and techniques
  • Working knowledge of SAP customer service software
  • Degree in business administration (or related field)
  • Ability to lead by example with a high level of professionalism
  • Great management & delegation skills
  • Effective communicator – excellent telephone manner & professional emails
  • Team player
  • An excellent planner with strong prioritisation skills
  • Strategic thinking
  • Pharmaceutical experience (ideal)
  • Experience of MHRA Regulatory Inspections (ideal)


Please be aware that occasional travel to Guilford will be required which can include overnight stays, and initial training will take place in Guilford and require an initial one week stay (Mon-Fri).


In return my client will be offering a competitive salary based on working hours of 9-5:15 (Mon-Thurs) with a 4pm finish on a Friday.
