Senior Accounts Clerk


Senior Accounts Clerk required for a well-established company in Harlow working as part of a great team!

This is a diverse role for a key member within the accounts department for the largest company within the group.

  • Monthly management accounts
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Posting of monthly journals
  • Daily management of the company bank accounts
  • Making daily transfers between accounts, as well as external payments to suppliers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Quarterly Aggregate Levy Returns
  • Inputting daily cash book entries
  • Assisting in annual company audit
  • Overseeing the role of accounts assistant
  • Support to the Group Finance Manager and Finance Director

The successful candidate will need:

  • Experience in similar level accounts role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident in using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to use self-initiative where necessary
  • SAGE 50 experience beneficial but not essential

In return, my client will be offering a salary of up to £29,000, with benefits including:

Monday to Friday either 8.30am – 16.30pm or 9.00am – 17.00pm with a half an hour lunch (hours need to be set and are not changeable)

21 days holiday (plus BH) which increases to 26 days after 2 years’ service

Auto Enrolment into pension from day 1

Private Healthcare after 2 years’ service

Life Cover at 2 x salary
